I'm getting very excited about this upcoming event, hosted by the amazing Erin MacNair, called Resilience: Finding Hope and Truth in Fiction. Erin writes brilliant speculative fiction and after watching her in action, moderating a panel at the Vancouver International Publishing Conference this past June, I feel incredibly grateful that she's offered to take on this task. We hope to explore the effects domestic violence has on mental health and how it is portrayed in fiction.

I confess, I have been truly anxious about how I will handle reviews. I know that not everyone likes everything they read and I have notoriously thin skin when it comes to feedback that's negative.
